Oakland, CA - Supercross Race Recap
Fox had another solid appearing from Creature Expert Circuit Kawasaki rider Joey Savatgy. Joey escaped the entryway solid, running second for most of the race. The end laps saw Joey slip back to third as Justin Slope could be mistaken for second. Joey battled back to pass Justin and land in second place on the platform for the night, and hold his second position in the point standings.
Adam Cianciarulo had an extreme begin in the headliner, going off the track in the main turn. Adam fought his way through the pack to complete in seventh, leaving Oakland fourth in the title focuses standings.
In what ended up being a standout amongst other races to date, Ken Roczen verged on catching his first win of the season at Oakland SX.
The track ended up being the most requesting and specialized we have seen for the current year. Ken got off to an incredible begin, behind his colleague Cole Seely. For a minute, it appeared as though it would have been a manufacturing plant Honda scope of the best two platform spots. Seely wound up going down in one of the specialized beat segments with Ken assuming control over the lead. Ken put in awesome ride to hold the lead for most of the race. As the race went to its end stages, focuses pioneer Jason Anderson was moving, shutting to inside hitting separation with two laps to go.
What resulted was an epic fight to the wrap up. Ken and Jason swapped the lead a few times in the last two laps, coming down to the last musicality area where Ken committed a little error that enabled Jason to go for the win.
Ken's incredible ride moved him up to second in the focuses remaining as the arrangement heads to San Diego.
